Dear praying Friends,
Greetings in the Name of our Master and Lord Jesus Christ! Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9
Praise the Lord! The new school year has begun in the new school building! We give God all the praise and glory for His provision of this new facility for Harbour Light Christian Academy. The children and teachers are enjoying it very much. Brother Albert Forsyth, school board member from Grenada, was our main chapel speaker. We are now focusing on the yard where fencing needs to be installed and landscaping finished to protect the children as they play and the building in case of heavy rains. “Thank you!” once again to all who have been a part of this work – praying, researching, giving, working, advising, encouraging – the Lord has blessed us greatly with many hands to accomplish a mighty work! The construction work is pretty much over and now the academic and spiritual work has begun. No true work of God proceeds without opposition from our enemy, the devil, so please keep praying! If anything, pray more for the school that God will be glorified through the teachers as they teach their students lead these little ones to Christ. You can see pictures of the opening days by clicking the cameral on our home page!
Praise the Lord! The transmitter is completely repaired and back to full power! You may remember that early in the summer the A/C quit in the transmitter room causing the transmitter to overheat. Some parts were burned and in the process of repairing the transmitter, other heat related problems surfaced. Several power modules were damaged. Two were sent off to the USA for repair and two were repaired here. Now the transmitter is back in good shape – thank You Lord! An automatic high temperature shut-off sensor has been installed on the transmitter which we trust will prevent the transmitter from overheating in the future.
Praise the Lord! The little generator has clocked in about 11000 hours of nearly trouble-free operation. It has saved the ministry tens of thousands of dollars each year! Can you believe it has been operating for two years? Now it is time for the engine to be overhauled to keep it in the best condition for another two years of operation. Our other bigger generator still has a fault in the exciter from a “super humid” day back in June. That was the same time the A/C failed in the transmitter room and it seemed “everything” was going wrong as we approached using the school building for graduation. Do you remember? Well, I am finally able to work on that now, so please pray for wisdom and the Lord's help.
Recently while reading Joshua, I was amazed to see that not only did God give His people the land of Canaan, they would have to walk in it and do battle in it in order to possess it! The “Canaan land” of Christian service is really no different. God is with us. He has given us the “land.” But we must do the “leg work” of service according to His will. It involves a great deal of strength, courage, and effort to war against the world, the flesh, and the devil. Thank you and God bless you for laying up treasure in Heaven as we fellowship together in this urgent & eternal business of...
