Dear Christian Friends,
Christian greetings to you in the eternally blessed Name of our risen LORD and soon-coming KING, the Lord Jesus Christ! Now, therefore, fear the LORD and serve Him in sincerity and truth; put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Joshua 24:14-15
We are praising the Lord for His bountiful blessings to us! The school building is now “finished” (is anything ever really finished? :) and classes have been meeting there since the opening of school in September with 35 students and 5 teachers. The children and teachers alike are enjoying the new facilities very much. We continue to work outside on landscaping and security. A work team is planning to come in February, 2016 to build and install kitchen cabinets and help with outdoor projects such as finishing the fencing, and building playground equipment. Please pray for the students to be responsive to their teachers as they learn both academic subjects as well as spiritual Truths. Pray for the teachers that they will walk in the Spirit and be strengthened to lead their students to Christ. There are spiritual battles going on every day. You can see pictures of the first days at www.harbourlightradio.org. Click on the camera!
Thank you for your faithful prayers for the radio station and the Word of God as it goes out every day through the broadcasts and the home Bible study materials. The AM transmitter is now back to full power and the A/C in the transmitter room as well as one other were finally repaired under warranty. I found that the big generator has a damaged exciter which will have to be repaired or replaced. Continue to pray for wisdom as I work on that and on our FM antennas that have not been functioning properly. In addition to announcing, brother Richard has been working on our mowers and keeping the grounds looking neat now that we have had some good rain. He was diagnosed with sugar diabetes this past summer which has affected his stamina as well as his vision. Please pray for God to strengthen him and help him get used to his new diet and medications. Francina busily works on the Captain's Kids, and Joyful Woman broadcasts and also with the Home Bible Study students. The Lord has been providing additional materials and incentives through a Christian friend in Canada to encourage the students to continue studying God's Word. “Mama C” (Arlene Cornelius) continues her three days/week schedule of work at the Harbour Light. She has resumed the Bible club in her home and has even found time to continue writing her book! We are very grateful to you for your prayers, support, fellowship, and encouragement. Praise the Lord for what He is doing in the lives of listeners! Keep praying for the right help at the right time.
You can download a schedule for our upcoming Radio Bible Conference, which will begin Sunday, the 29th of November and run through the 6th of December (rescheduled dates!). The theme is “Let your light SO shine... Even in troublous times.” On the back of that page you will find the schedule for our special “Christmas Week” programming! Our Christmas programming will begin on Monday, November 30. We are praying that all the special programming will be a tremendous blessing to each person who tunes in. Pray with us that many will tune in with hearts open to the ministry of the Holy Spirit through His Word. Pray that as God's people, we will let our light SO shine – even in troublous times!
I believe that these are troublous times, not primarily because the world is so wicked or because God has somehow failed (He has not), but because God's people have not been careful to do all that He has commanded in His Word. The challenge given in the opening verses was met with a resounding “We will do all that the Lord has commanded!” However, before long, God was inditing numbers of the tribes of Israel for not driving out the Canaanites (Judges 1:19-)! God was with them, as He promised He would be, but they used the excuse that it was too hard because the Canaanites had iron chariots. God rebuked them and said I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land which I have sworn to your fathers; and I said, ‘I will never break My covenant with you, and as for you, you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall tear down their altars.’ But you have not obeyed Me; what is this you have done? (Judges 2:1-2) They felt sorry; they wept, offered sacrifices to the Lord, and even went home with good intentions of taking possession of the land they had not conquered. (Judges 2:6) But they must have gotten busy - too busy to fight; too busy to teach their children about God and about what He said and did. In fact, that entire generation passed away and a new generation grew up that had not known or personally experienced the Lord's presence. They had not seen Him do anything like what He did for their parents and grandparents in driving out the Canaanites. It was easier and less confrontational to make agreements with them (the Canaanites) – after all, they had grown used to them and saw that they had some alternative but really appealing worship practices. “Who are we to judge them?” they may have reasoned. “What could be wrong with adapting some of those things for the sake of unity for worship of the Lord?”
Well, it was not long before they abandoned the Lord God and followed other gods – the gods of the nations who lived around them. It was seemingly such a small thing, but they never totally conquered the land and God rightly became very furious with them! Things are not much different today, are they? We have “not driven out the Canaanites” in the spiritual land of our hearts (and our churches) and we have “not torn down the alters where they worship.” Instead, we have made agreements with “Christian” Canaanites in exchange for a “wider audience.” Beware of “Christian” Canaanites and the “Christian” Canaanite philosophy of ministry! So the anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and He said, Because this nation has transgressed My covenant which I commanded their fathers and has not listened to My voice, I also will no longer drive out before them any of the nations which Joshua left when he died, in order to test Israel by them, whether they will keep the way of the Lord to walk in it as their fathers did, or not. (Judges 2:20-22) Our generation is failing the test! That is one reason troublous times have come upon us. Where are the Joshuas who are willing to magnificently fight God's Holy War?! (Judges 3:2) They are passing away. Who will stand in the gap? We do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete. (2 Corinthians 10:3-6) In the midst of troublous times – yes, even in the face of growing apostasy and troublous times... Let your light SO shine for His eternal glory! (Mt. 5:16)
God bless you for your vital prayers, your faithful, sacrificial giving, your interest, and encouragement! Let's keep...
Spreading the WORD,
Randy Cornelius & Staff
Littles - Richard & Francina continue to minister as “foster” parents to a couple of children. Pray for patience & wisdom. Continue to pray for the Lord's provision to finish their house. The Lord recently provided the ceiling. Plumbing & painting remain to be done. They praise the Lord for all He has done so far! Francina has been handing out applications for our Home Bible Study group at the local secondary schools. A number of children have signed up to study the Bible with us!
“Mama C” (Arlene Cornelius) continues her three days/week schedule of work at the Harbour Light. She has resumed the Bible club in her home and has even found time to continue writing her book!
Randy & Sharlene – Continue to pray for strength and wisdom to lead the radio ministry and the school ministry for the glory of God. Their daughter, Angelia, is teaching this year at HLCA.

We are still waiting on the Lord for a full time school administrator. A work team is planning to be here in February, 2016 to build cabinets, build playground equipment and install fencing. There may still be time if you are interested in coming down with the team. Get in touch with us or Wayne Camfield ASAP. Wayne's number is 1 (864) 610-2791.
We are planning to have the formal dedication of the school building while the team is here in February.
